Nah, I know a good percussionist when i hear one. This is a well-behaved drummer. He undoubtedly blew their minds a few bars/measures later. On another note, this may be the best phone captured live drum sound ever. You could easily sample this and make a killer song from it. Since you're still here.. Do you know what also makes it sound so good? The kids shouting "hey" in the back. Outside of folk music, The band, The Art of Noise, first applied it to pop in like, 1984.. I think. The sampled a girl at school shouting it and during playback they got goosebumps and immediately knew it was incredible. True story.

Possible because the crowd is chanting the melody of a deadly boring song to any drummer. On the other hand it clearly gives him some freedom to do some unexpected shit that still works. He's tight, so I bet he's quite good but knows better stuff.
