This is for someone who commented on Dazed & Confused who recommended this version but is on disability and could not submit the request on his own. So White Summer is for you. Enjoy!

I was just going to say I believe it’s his birthday, the sweater vest he’s wearing, was a birthday gift from his mother or grandmother. Nobody else could rock a sweater vest like the amazing Jimmy Page.

Alright then, now tell me. Just name any group or individual in today's technology run music industry that can do what we just watched. Today cannot stand up to then. And not even close.

This show was on Jimmy’s 26th birthday and his mom knit him that sweater as a gift. Highly recommend anything from this show, especially Whole Lotta Love/How Many More Times/Bring it on Home

I’m sure they aren’t alive anymore, but I’d like to thank those who left behind the guitar, in the house Jimmy & family moved into. Who knows if he’d have picked up a guitar otherwise. My opinion Jimmy is the greatest guitarist ever, he doesn’t play to show off, he plays because he needs to just like breathing. He never did or does bash any other guitar players, like so many do. I have seen this video before, as always he amazes.

I’d say that’s also why he was the most sought after sessions guitarist, which also is how he learned producing mixing & editing. JPJ was the most sought after bass player too. Jimmy was asked to be in The Yardbirds before Beck, & he recommended Beck.

White Summer first appeared in 1967 on The Yardbirds album "Little Games". Then it appeared again, (live 1968) on the withdrawn Yardbirds Live album from 1971.

Led Zep were the New Yardbirds but one of the originals complained so they changed. I wonder if that twit ever whinged when he saw how big Zep got and realised that their new young fanbase didn't know to get all those lovely Yardbird records too ?! 😹

The piece uses the DADGAD tuning, devised by Davy Graham , whose arrangement of 'She Moves Through The Fair' comprise the first main set of themes, then lurching into Bert Jansch's arrangement for the same tuning of Black Water Side' ( became 'Black Mountain Side' on LZ I). Page then takes the work of both men into improvised new territory at an even faster pace and all over the shop as it's on electric with lighter bendier strings. All three gentlemen mentioned here re-wrote the rulebook for guitar...Pagey having the advantage of the support of JPJ and Bonham into taking the thign even further...
