@Shuajo Perhaps it was the comfort or feeling of security. Perhaps it is those who are no longer with us. Perhaps it was those memories of times when things didn’t crowd our lives so much. Nostalgia is a feeling that no matter who you are, you will eventually feel it. Life is quick and we normally take the present for granted and in the future, we are crying and pleading to return to when times were simpler. I just want to go back to the early 2010s when I was in elementary school and I didn’t have to worry about back-to-back projects and stress about keeping my grades good. December 25, 2012, I was 6 years old and I was excited for the presents I would get for Christmas. I was heading downstairs and my parents followed. Approaching the tree, I was getting anxious. When I opened my presents, I got LEGO sets and other toys and I thought that was it. My parents handed me another present and it was the new IPad and the only game on it was Minecraft. I was so happy but I didn’t know that this specific Christmas would shape my childhood. My entire childhood has been built on this one game and the memories and people I’ve met because of it. Don’t be afraid to embrace your old memories, it is what makes you human.

I always will have a special place in my heart for this game. it's honestly beyond words what we can do with this game because in all honesty, you really can't. all I'm trying to say is that I love Minecraft and I thank it for all of the great memories it brought me and many other people. thank you, Minecraft.

So much has changed. Life’s much more sadder now. I remember building a huge tree house that had a mine, a rollercoaster and a fighting arena with my friend. I was so happy and oblivious back then. Now that same friend has been in foster homes, going from a “druggie” to a obese kid and then to an anorexic and depressed kid. I’ve just sucked up all the crap and tried to live my life in silence. I’m tired, sad, angry, heartbroken and haven’t felt true happiness in three years. My legs, back and neck hurts constantly. I can’t even get horny because all of the goddamn stress.

He sang me to sleep every night because I have insomnia. He would spend more time with me than he did with his family. Because WE were family. I love and miss him with all of my heart and soul. One of my best nostalgic events came from this song as me and my good friend survived on an island, times where the Xbox 360 Minecraft never ceased to amaze and kept my friend and I enthusiastic. The good old days which included sleepovers and nights of mining and trolling on our little island world, completely immersed and not paying attention to the real world. The nostalgic 2010-2015 times where I was carefree and had no idea that in the future, I would be missing these memories deeply. This song reminds me of those happy days; an old, nostalgic tinge that hurts to remember, as I know I can't relive the simple times again. And yet the short, but sweet song continues. This song is the definition of bittersweet to me, and I love how it encapsulates my young preteen years, when I was still innocent and immature. Thanks for the remake, I took a long trip down memory road from this.

the reason this is so nostalgic for me is cause its the first song I remember hearing. I can still picture my first house, a lapis block wall with holes for windows in a cave, placing lava, sounds of zombies, with this sound in the background. I miss the old days when everything was simpler. and then reading these comments with this music in the background.

This played when my puppy in minecraft died. I still remember seeing him on the edge of the ravine, and I saved him. I was walking home, and night fell. We got attacked by zombies. The message: "Wolf was slain by Zombie" still hurts.

This ravine is so ominous to you. You spend a few good minutes circling the outside, crouched against the edge and peering into it, thinking of a good way to get down. Spotting a bit of water, you take a brave leap into it, splashing your way into the bottom of this chasm over yonder. Even as you do, you see iron and coal peppering the walls; considering how new you are, this place is already piquing your interest, and you haven't even looked at caves nearby! What will you do next?

Man. I miss going on a computer just to hear the music. Look at the lava. And most of all. Loving those old videos..

Thank you for these videos. For me, it doesn't really just remind me of Minecraft memories or the game itself, but the simpler times, with my old friend groups, old school, just when I was younger and good times with it. The amount of nostalgia I feel from this is unimaginable, and it doesn't really give me this sadness but it's actually very calming and relaxing. So thank you.

I miss the amount of joy this game gave me as a child. Now that I have grown up, I have not been nearly as happy.

You should upload these versions of the Minecraft ost on soundcloud. I'm sure many of us would listen to it very often.

this was always my favourite song of the track, i don’t know why. maybe it’s the notes and melody they create, or maybe it’s the fact that i heard this one so much that i became accustom to it. regardless, this brings back so many memories. thank you

I remember making my first world I had some friends join and we made a great world then I switched over to other games forgot about it and then five years later, I go on and it brings back beautiful memories . It even made me cry because I don't remember the names of my friends who were on that world I must have unfriended them and will never meet them again, games may bring people together and bring them apart but you will never forget the great times

You sit by your campfire, cooking a salmon from the nearby stream as night falls, you made a friend that day. A wolf you named Bruno. They panted softly as you drift off to sleep.

We look back to this and all cry. It was the happiness, the joy and the feeling of togetherness this game brought us. We feel as though there might be a day these feelings all stop. And as we slowly fade away from a game we once played for hours on end, we wish upon ourselves the gift to play once more in the simple world. But we all must move on and find happiness in new things. Best said by jeb, “It thinks it’s merely a game”

I want to go back in time to a place where I would come back from primary school and sit and play minecraft with all my friends, I want to go back in time where I would go to my dads and spend thousands and thousands of hours on minecraft with my younger siblings, where we used to build so many different things, have arguments over the smallest of things, we used to get told off for being too loud, we used to stay up until 3am in the morning building towns, houses and anything that our creative minds desired. when we played, we used to laugh and (most often me doing this) used to quit a world as soon as I lost all of my loot 300km away from my base, I want to go back in time to a more simpler life, where I don’t have to worry about work or money or anything else. I want life to be simple again.
