Great cover man! Ever heard of the band Skrape? You should do some covers of theirs, they're tight. I'd recommend the songs Isolated, Sunshine, and Waste if you've never heard them before. Anyway great cover dude, keep 'em comin!

gorrillafoot Love me some Skrape, one of my old favorites from waaaaay back. I'd love to tackle some of their songs sometime especially Waste. Lots of good times associated with that one.

Hell yeah brother!!!!! Both Skrape albums are good, but New Killer America is a fucking masterpiece. My friends and I always jam to Waste and Isolated, but I love the whole album. You should definitely tackle Waste, I would LOVE to see a good cover of that. I too have great memories associated with that song.

+MysticGuitar77 +gorrillafoot Great cover man. Skrape is awesome, such a raw heavy distortion sound. "Rise" and "Goodbye" are also killer tracks!

hey sorry if you get asked alot but now i actually understand the relevance of string gauges. what are you using now? :o
@MysticGuitar77

shabztar123 I've been sticking with D'Addario Medium Top/Extra Heavy Bottom's (11-14-19-32-44-56) for the PRS recently. I've tried a lot of different sets on it, but that's the one that feels the best to play so I keep going back to it.

okay so clearly these are bigger strings, would they survive standard tuning? or basically, what kind of range do strings like yours give you in terms of tunings
@MysticGuitar77
9 жыл бұрын
shabztar123 Too big for standard tuning I'd say, the strings will be way too tight but then again, some people like it that way and do use huge strings for that reason. For standard, I like to use a regular set of 10's (10-13-17-26-36-46), I also use that set for Drop D. For half-step down/Drop C# tuning, I use almost the same set except bigger low-end (10-13-17-30-42-52). Full step down/Drop C and 1.5 steps down/Drop B I use the (11-14-19-32-44-56) set. 2 steps down/Drop A# and 2.5 steps down/Drop A I use a (12-16-24p-32-44-56) set which is a pretty light gauge for such low tunings but I use them on a semi-baritone guitar so it works.

What are you doing to practise the speed? Nice vids btw.
@MysticGuitar77

Fumbleberg Gaming Don't really do much practicing anymore, but I used to practice a lot with a metronome. I'd just play one string at a time and really work on getting my picking hand tight to the timing and slowly up the BPM's until I could play at the speed I wanted.
