I had one and the clicker broke in a very short time. Called Dry fire mag and they wanted 40.00 to rebuild it. At best it cost maybe 5-8 dollars to manufacture the complete mag. I also noticed the seams where coming apart and the base plate was not secured. I removed the floor plate and examined the internals which were lead bar weights poorly hot glued to the inside of the body and a piece of cheap tin that made the clicking noise. Save yourself the money and just fold a small piece of paper and insert it between the breach face and barrel hood lug to get a self resetting trigger.

Mine collects dust more than anything. It simulates the trigger reset but doesn’t reset the firing pin. So it won’t work with a laser that requires the firing pin to impact the switch. They actually advertise a version that has a laser but it’s never in stock when I’ve looked. To me it’s fine for trigger control training but it could be a much better product if it fired a laser pulse with every pull. Then you could use it with a number of apps and systems for laser training.

I think the dryfire mag can be a good tool but it’s pretty expensive. A cheaper way to get similar practice would be to put a foam earplug between the slide and barrel so it’s slightly out of battery and use weighted dryfire mags.

Is the first "heavy squeeze" the same as when loaded normally, or are the subsequent "light squeeze" the same?
@kc_woodsman7504
Жыл бұрын
The subsequent “light squeeze” are the ones that are more similar to the actual trigger pull. The first shot is heavy because the trigger is loading the dry-fire mag AND the firing pin spring. After the first shot the firing pin drops and you’re just getting tension from the dry fire mag which is close to the actual trigger pull.

I had been hearing since like. 2019 that they were going to release a version for Glock 43X/48 soon, but checking the website periodically I don’t see it. I used to EDC Smith & Wesson M&P 2.0 Subcompacts so I picked up a mag to utilize. Fast forward to 2021 I purchased my 1st Glock (Used G42) and since then it’s has been all Glocks. Train with the Mantis frequently so I thought I’d pick up a mag for my G19 and G26, wish they would hurry and produce one for the 43X/ 48, but that is here nor there. I love training with it, but this mag is different from my S&W dry fire mag. My Glock mag inserts about 3/4 of the way up and then I need to use a screw driver to push the lever back so it can fully sit and work correctly. I have tried everything other than physically taking a hammer to it, but I know I apply plenty of ample force and it still does not enter fully. Anyone else run into this problem?
