On Monday 14 September 2020, the first 3 new electric vectron locomotives for DSB arrived in Denmark. The company Railadventure was responsible for the transport from Simen's factory, and drove from Munich the day before. The rest of the way to Copenhagen, Hectorrail was responsible for the transport.
The lettering of the new locomotives will be called Litra EB and 32 as the first 2 digits. So far, DSB has ordered 42 Litra EBs, and will initially pull the current double-decker wagons in Zealand's regional traffic, well mark the places that have been electrified. These locomotives are built to run on German, Swedish and Danish driving currents, and will be approved to run in both Germany and Denmark with a maximum speed of 200 km / h.
The plan is to put them into operation at the end of October with passengers between Østerport and Slagelse. So far, the schedule holds, and by December 2021, DSB will receive 26 locomotives. The rest will come later, and some of them will also be used as traction for the new Talgo wagons from Spain that DSB has ordered for international traffic to and from Hamburg.
