In step 6 the value of N=14 and y(n) matched the value of N . What if in last step the value of N doesn't matches with y(n) ??? The answer y(n) will be wrong then?? Pls specify!

You need to check the value of L. In our example L = 6 that's why we will take first 6 samples of x(n) to form x1(n). Thats why the last numbers are 3,2. Hope this was helpful Keep supporting EC Academy 👍
