I sustained a traumatic closed head injury and during speech therapy listening to music, I learned to talk again

I'm new to your channel, and I gotta say it's so refreshing watching a doctor react to music videos on KZitem. Not many doctors do this, and showing your likes and interests to people really humanizes you. It's heartwarming. Loved the reaction!

This song particularly reminds me of early 80's Euro Pop... Which was really good music (I'm 59).

Pay attention to the mirror 😄. At the beginning of the video there's a shot where her reflection in the mirror is not doing the same movements that she is doing. It starts out subtle -- her mirror reflection brushes her hair, but she doesn't. Then it gets really obvious -- her reflection spins 360 degrees, but she doesn't! In your video it starts around the timestamp 2:24 - in the original video it starts around 15 seconds in. (This is part of the whole trippy, psychedelic mood that you mentioned.) After this we see some shots where the camera shows mostly the reflection. Then at 2:47 in your video we see a shot where she doesn't seem to have a reflection in the mirror. Possibly she does, but the camera is perfectly lined up to not show it. We know the mirror is there, because we can still see the vertical line where the mirror segments come together. Starting at 3:21 in your video, she appears to be alone in the room, there is nobody behind her and the mirror behind her shows no other people anywhere. But then the camera moves around her and suddenly swings to the left to show the mirror, and the room is full of people behind her! This is made to seem like it is all one camera shot with a continuously moving camera. In general, having mirrors in the room adds to the challenge of creating the video, because it would be distracting to see the camera operator in the reflection, and they nicely avoid showing this. But check out the magic at around 5:18 of your video -- it's very quick, but the camera goes right past her from right to left, right in front of the mirror. We should see the camera in the mirror! But there is nothing there. Possibly the reason this cut is so quick is because they had to digitally edit out the camera in the reflection. At 5:27 she gets down on the floor on her side, supported by her right arm, and then the video cuts to a scene with her surrounded by other dancers, but she is still in this same position. Though it is an obvious cut to a new camera angle, the continuity of her body position from one shot to the next implies that it is all one sequence and the dancers have appeared around her. At 6:49 of your video -- "I come and I go" -- we see only Dua Lipa -- then right after "I'm not here for long" there is a sequence where the room is full of dancers, then the camera appears to tilt down and back up again and all the dancers are gone except for Dua Lipa (but only for a second, then they are all back again). On this one too, it is not an obvious cut because the down-up camera movement disguises it. I'm calling out these particular moments because the other times the dancers appear and disappear are obvious video cuts without much "magic" to them, but a few of them really are like a magician's illusion. Even if you don't consciously notice the strange nature of the mirror, where it sometimes seems like a perfectly normal mirror and other times has these "magic" properties, on some level I think this would still create an unusual feeling. I'd even guess that putting these illusions in a few places surrounded by more normal, expected camera cuts is a way to make them less obvious, so that the video has a mysterious quality but it is harder to notice what is causing it. This fits with your observation that the video is only set in one location, but it seems complex and layered.

I love the references to the greatest illusionist ever: Houdini. Throughout this video the use of mirrors, lights … and the tiny key on her tongue (shown on Spotify) all about creating an illusion, an effect that Dua controls… female empowerment

We knew music of Dua, we knew it makes us beyond happy but many thanks for sharing the synapse of how things trigger the brain. The way the song has come out from conception to the finish is a testament to her unrelenting passion for perfection.

This video production probably took longer to make than the actual song itself, like the image of two different Dua dancing in front of the mirror at the same time being just one example of an incredibly complex scene creation throughout the entire video.

Hi I’ve been experiencing tremors in both of my legs, which my Neuro has diagnosed as Orthostatic Tremors. I’m finding out that there’s very little study or much of anything known about this condition, and there’s no known cure. Could you make a video to help with awareness of this condition that can be very disabling?
