Snake Creek can be a bear if it is wet as the clay can make it very slick up there.

I subscribed for the klr as I am a klr fan/klr freak, I am looking for another klr 650,my cousin sold my klr's and now I don't have a Motorcycle that I can feel comfortable on, I did get one of my klr 250's back but it still needs alot of work to put back on the road, I have owned klr's since 1984 with a klr 600 that I still have the motor, KLR'S forever

Oh no you sold your klr. I didn't know that. How's the Suzuki? Lighter is always better. Is it a 250 400?? Great vid btw

Thanks! I like the drz-400 for it's performance on the trail and twisty roads, but it doesn't give me quite the same freedom as the klr overall. It doesn't feel pleasant getting to the trails on the highway, but it does feel great on the trails and twisty roads. It has yet to show any measurable indications that it isn't built for long distance trips, but the rpm's and dry sump design make me question if I can use it like a KLR. Guess the overall difference is the klr offers more utility and the drz offers more excitement.

You may have already found some rides you like, but if you look up the Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail, it's a nice ride. Not a whole lot of trails, but some really nice backroads. GPSkevin has a map you can see. I'm ready to go do it again, just waiting on the weather...

It's a long day for sure, feels like going for 3 different rides. Although just chillin at 60mph on the highway after some hard dirt riding I would say feels good, kinda like a wind down. The trail has some nasty sections tho so you gotta ride cautiously to not damage your ride home.

TwinCitiesRider I’d like to get up there yet this fall, but weekends are getting tight. There are so many other ride events to hit!
