Ive known Mike Pelanconi (Prince Fatty) since we were 17. That was my console before his. I bought it in 1996 and sold it to him around 2006. I bought for £1600. I know a fair bit of history about it. Kirk Mustafa (owner and designer of Tweed Audio) even came to my studio as Mike and I wanted to expand it at one point. Turned out as not really possible. I also had some other tweed EQs in it which I assume PF kept and put the originals back in. Does it still have the tele distort module in it?

Some of the most authentic vintage sounding drums and bass reggae production I have heard. I am curious how the drums were mic'ed and recorded. And the bass had a nice smooth driven sound. The bass line and drums groove. And the horns all good musical lines. Well done Toby and the team.

dub 4 ever man!....dub is a music genre now, not just style of mixing and approach to music making....hats off to King Tubby and Lee Scratch Perry. I personally take from Dub culture a lot in my music, it is electronic in nature and more close to 4 to the floor dance music, but with heavy sub bass, minimalistic arrangement and rhythm, very bouncy with oceans of reverb and delay:)....long live dub music!

are you running a single delay repeat then looping it back on itself, or running a few feedback returns then fading in ?

Vermona Retroverb Lancet has real spring, analogue filters - hi, low, and bandpass, LFO filter control with various waves inc sample & hold. It can be clocked by the actual input (envelope follower), ext. click or audio. Has analogue drive which can be really dirty. Mix of spring and filter. It's one of those instruments that I liked so much I bought a second within weeks of the first. I think they're still less than £500, try Elevator Sound in Bristol, great guys.
