I watch ‘Duchess’ from the Lyceum shows in 1980 at least once a month. It’s such a good song that even scaled down, it’s still beautiful.

Man.. I was praying for this song in 2007 as it's my favourite Genesis track of all time (strangely enough) and I'm a fan of all the band's eras. When it wasn't included there (can't say I was surprised) I thought I'd never hear it live again but much to my astonishment, here it is! Even the sad state Phil is in right now can't wipe the smile from my face upon hearing it again. Such a powerful beautiful song. The band sounds amazing!!

@@michaelpolese3440 Simple from a compositional standpoint doesn't always mean easy to replicate. Yes it's in 4/4 and a slow tempo, but there are a lot of subtle hi-hat articulations in this song. The drum roll section towards the beginning also has a lot of nuance to it. The dynamics throughout are fairly advanced as well. If your 10yo can play that EXACTLY like on the album then your kid is a prodigy.

Phil is a brave, tough guy. He certainly knows there is a considerable risk that his performances on this Last Domino tour are turning to be the lowest point of his carreer, creating even "internet memes" and raising a worldwide wave of moan and groan about the shape he is in, commiseration and the likes. Then again, if I could attend to at least one of the shows I'd surely be there.
