Thank you for this! My goal for 2024 is to start using the unused blown and sanitized eggs I inherited from my Grandma. And this gives me insight into how she made the beautiful works of art I grew up admiring.

@George Pig You can use Ceramcoat, an acrylic paint in bottles. You can also spray the eggs. I use Design Master. Mainaly because I worked in my parent's flower shop.

Thank you so much for your kind words! I recently moved from Hawaii to Arizona to be closer to my Son and Grandson. I plan to get back to work soon with more videos coming once I am settled. The move was overwhelming and exhausting, especially at my age. Ughh! Glad that's over. Thanks for your support, hope to hear from you again!

I have received several requests for the duck egg jewel box kit. I can send you one if you would like. The kit is $75.00. It includes all of the necessary components to make the egg. I can cut the egg for you or send it without cutting it. You would need to buy your own 5 minute epoxy. I can send white glue if you do not have any. You can make the egg while following the video.

Dear Yvonne, I am in Seattle at this time. The two egg kits are $75.00 each. Do you need tacky glue and epoxy glue? I don't think that I have an extra marker but you can purchase one from Natalie Stedman. She is the lady who invented the marker. Can you give me your email? I need that to charge you via paypal. Otherwise you can send me a check. Let me know what you prefer.

These are wonderful tutorials! Would you explain why you cut the lemay away for the hinge rather than setting the hinge first and then gluing the lemay after? Thank you so much!
@EileenTokita
6 жыл бұрын
The purpose of the lame' is to cover the cut edge of the egg. When all the trim is glued down, you only see the lame' on the cut edge. It must be glued down before the hinge. The hinge must be glued directly to the egg shell. If you glue the hinge to the fabric lame', it might lift. I even recommend scraping the paint away from the hinge area. Sometimes the hinge will lift from the painted egg shell. This is something that we deal with in Hawaii because of the high humidity.
