Christian Laettner and JJ Redick had very different mindsets about being the most hated college player

He is hated because he was cocky but his game could back it up. Laettner goes down as one of the greatest college players of all time and he is a winner. His pro career did not go as well as his college game but you can’t take away what he did.

Jason DiFederico kinda like how rodman would celebrate it wasn’t showing off it’s just raw emotion

His pro career was solid. There was a few years in Atlanta he was a 17 point 7 rebound guy, and his overall career numbers aren’t bum. He was solid, just not the legend he was in college. But yea 2 different realms, just saying the pro career was decent, especially in Atlanta.

@Turbo Crystal Bro Turbo Crystal be hella salty tho. We have another thread going and he MAD mad lol. But i kinda agree with him here; idk if he's one of the best college players of all time, there was/is some great talent in the NCAA. (I don't agree with him saying that you have an IQ below 62 just to make that clear lmao)

If you look up his stats and awards along with 2 National Championships it’s hard to argue why I said he is one of the greatest collegiate players of all time.

He did get suckered by Rodman into making some stupid mistakes in the playoffs with the Hawks. hahahaha. Rodman was a bigger asshole then Christian and the Worm got inside Christians head lol.

it's kinda sad how laettner get's overlooked when talking about the Dream Team... He didnt really do anything but he had a decent NBA career afterward so its not like he was a snub. At least he got that experience.

@Turbo Crystal Damn that's harsh bruh... He's a solid player he played like 13 years in the NBA had a decent career for himself. Most people can't even do that to be fair. So give him some love

Laettner was one of the best college players of all time. People forget, but he was the third center drafted, right after Shaq, and Alonzo.

I became a Duke fan the moment I saw that Hurley-to-Hill alley-oop photo in Sports Illustrated as a 7-year-old. I had no idea why people hated Laettner. He seemed like the epitome of cool ah the time. From the hair to the swagger...the guy was just cool. My older sister and all her friends thought he was hot, so I wanted to look like him too.

Such a stupid comment. Only 11% of NBA Players Have Ever Won a Championship, so only 11 % of all NBA players has words that mean something?
