"Chi Mai" - Ennio Morricone composition, written in 1971. It was used both in the films Magdalen and Professional, and in the TV series The Englishman's Castle (1978) and The Life and Times of David Lloyd George [ru] (1981). In connection with the appearance in the latter, the composition reached the second position in the UK Singles Chart in 1981]. The composition also sounded in the film “If you love me,” made in Germany, shown at the out-of-competition show of the 16th Moscow International Film Festival. In France, “Chi Mai” became known in the eighties of the twentieth century also through the use of “Royal Canin” in advertising, in connection with which the French associate it primarily with advertising. In 2002, this association was beaten in the French film “Asterix and Obelix: Mission Cleopatra”, in the scene where Idefix chases a legionary on all four in slow motion (as in advertising), sounding against the background of “Chi Mai” . The composition was also used in the Russian comedy sci-fi film of 1994 "Go crazy!".
