Opened in May 2023, Dumas Wesley Community Center's transitional housing program, the Baldwin Family Village (BFV), is modeled after Dumas Wesley’s highly successful transitional housing program, the Sybil Smith Family Village. BFV is Baldwin County’s first transitional housing program, and provides 12 months of housing and wrap-around services for up to 100 homeless women and children annually.
BFV’s mission is to provide immediate supportive housing, individualized case management, life skills classes, employment opportunities and wrap-around services for homeless women and children in Baldwin County. Residents must be: homeless, 24 years of age or older, able to work or enroll in school, willing to live in a drug-and alcohol-free environment and participate in a case management plan.
