Lets see here. You're 21. Geddy was 58 during that performance. So you have 37 years of practice in front of you, to get to that skill level. I won't live to see you demonstrate your skills at that age, but I'm rooting for you to at least come close.

And for many of us, who are 58 now, that ship has sailed. But it in no way reacts from the enjoyment of listening to absolute masters of their craft. Rock on! 🤘

One of the best instrumental tracks of all time - just freaking phenomenal! Geddy is just next level on bass, but Alex & Neil are killing it as well. I’m thankful to have seen them play live a couple of times - great memories. Long live Rush! ❤🤘🤘🤘

Dude our lives paralleled !!! I first saw them in 75 when I was 13 an saw them every yr into my late twenties… I’m still in awe of the bands I’ve seen live, some of the all time greatest an none ever compared too a Rush concert… their ability too recreate their music live was insane an they were the BEST

I went to dozens of RUSH shows through the years and let me tell you it’s amazing watching Geddy Lee standing right in front of him in the second row. All 3 members were masters at their respective instruments. Put those 3 masters together and you get the best band in the world. Great reaction. More RUSH! 🤘🤘🤘🤘

Three great artists, and best friends as well - no band drama in 40+ years
@Scottracine68

Plenty of drama, things most families go through. The lose of Neil is just an example, they all knew his diagnosis but carried on to fulfill what they all thought was important. That is only one example but they chose not to harp on that. Great artists, best friends and I would add caring humans to the top of the list.
@moosecat

@@Scottracine68 The loss of Neil's daughter and wife within one year was certainly "drama", but that's life happening. I think the "drama" is publicly airing disagreements within the band, and not being diplomatic about it.

You mentioned Tool. Tool was inspired by Rush and that is why you picked up on the instrumental concept that tool has used. In fact Danny Carey has said that Neil Peart from Rush was one of his biggest influences. Tool has covered some Rush songs in tribute after Neil passed away and Danny Carey stepped in to play the drums for Rush at the Taylor Harris Hawkins tribute concert.

I was fortunate enough to see Rush twice once in the early 80s at Madison Square Garden and then in the 90s. I always say that Rush only having three guys in the band had such a bombastic sound! If you think they sound good through your headphones or watching the videos oh my God they sound 100 times better live. Geddy, Alex and Neil R.I.P. 😔 will always be awesome. People will talk about the music I grew up with and the artist that I grew up with 400 years from now. I was blessed to have been part of a generation of the 60s 70s and 80s music. We will never experienced anything this fabulous ever again.✌🏻😎

So nice to see today’s youth enjoying Rush, still. How many generations? My first show was in 1978 in the Warehouse in New Orleans. They were young but still made a hell of an impression on this once kid. My last show was on my 53rd b-day at the much more comfortable New Orleans Arena on May 22, 2015. That was live show #129 for me…. and I still enjoy the R40 dvd to this day!

Saw them 6 times starting in 1975. Greatest power trio of all-time they were special Geddy and Alex grew up together when they grabbed Neil to replace their original drummer John Rutsey RIP, after the first album, they never looked back. I started on bass at 15 switched to keyboards then settled on guitar the last 25 years never reached their level but had fun in bands along the way. I'm retired now at 64 but I still play everyday, and not a day goes by that I don't still listen to this band. You are still young just go for it be passionate about something and it will always be worth it.✌👍🎹🎵🎸🎼
