One thing I’d recommend is attaching a piece of sheet metal to the back side of your upper wood cross members. We have a chip body built similar to yours and our chipper blasting chips at those day in and day out eventually turns your 2x4’s into 2x2’s across the top. Great build by the way, yours looks much more professional than ours haha.

Great tip! I agree! The wood is showing some deterioration.

Awesome! I have a dump bed insert in my f350 single rear wheel and I was debating getting the top custom made. Now I see, that it’s definitely worth it! Thanks

Nice setup. Dump bed inserts make brush chipping a lot easier. Rolling up next to the guys picking out the brush by hand at the composting facility feels like you're cheating.

I put branches in trailers for a long time before I upgraded to a chipper and dump bed. That's hard work!

Looks great. Some tight fitting diagonal braces would add a lot of strength.

cool vid! Im currently contemplating buy an older mason dump. Or converting my old f250 with a dump insert. Was it worth it? or should i just spend a little more and get an older dump truck?

I'm doing something similar for a small set up but I thought about using a square aluminum ladder rack for the frame on the enclosure. do you know what kind of aluminum sheets was used for the walls and roof?

@@VeteranTreeService OK I was just curious because when I discovered Jacob on KZitem two years ago, I fell in love with it and I wanted to learn how to and I was curious if you were because you said you pretty much did the same as what I did, I would love to be a certified arborist and I would love to climb with you sometime in the future

Do you have an Instagram as well…I just watched the new guilty of treason video with your service and my wife was like are they talking about you (I am active duty as well and started a tree service on the side about 3+ years ago and my name is Tim too) pretty ironic lol

How well does the truck handle a full chip load?
@VeteranTreeService
9 ай бұрын
It lifts it no problem for the most part. If it's completely stuffed with hardwood that's wet it can be a little slow to lift, but it still gets it done.

@@VeteranTreeService I mean the suspension. You squat down the road? What's a full load of chips weigh?
@VeteranTreeService

@@1neAdam12 Not sure on the weight. It's been a while since I was on a scale with chips. It doesn't squat too bad.
