Dune is my favourite sci-fi novel of all time, so I was both excited and nervous when Modiphius picked up the licence. I had hope they'd do a good job, given the success of Star Trek Adventures, but I still had some nagging doubts. Fortunately, so far they've nailed it, with each supplement filling out Frank Herbert's timeless creation with more detail, more player options, and more subsystems and adventure locations.
Sand & Dust was the first major supplement released for the game, and provides all the detail players and GMs need to run a game focussed on Arrakis. All major locations are detailed, more player options are available particularly for Fremen characters, and the supplement emphasises the plentiful opportunities for intrigue, espionage and full-on warfare present on the all-important desert planet.
This supplement is a great add-on if you're going through the Agents of Dune super starter set campaign, or if you've looking to design your own campaign amongst the seitches and the domains of Shai-Hulud. Dune will always be the centre of Herbert's creation to me, and I'm pleased to say that this supplement does it justice.
