The eclipse scene just blew me away. Sad the that final battle was so...short.. Hans Zimmer again did something great!

It didn't feel short - but it was absolutely outstanding the choreography. And then you realize that the "narrow path" Paul foresaw included getting stabbed by Feyd Rautha. The location Paul got stabbed is also the same spot that in John Wick 3 the doctor tells John to shoot him. It must be a non-fatal part of the body.

I loved it but they should have made it like a Lord of the Rings battle but I know that in the books it wasn’t that long as well but hopefully next movie we get some insane battles

The fact that there was an eclipse in here too with the release date exactly shows how the dune 'story' aligns with our world. We'll likely go through similar stuff on our near future too because humanity keeps repeating its mistakes...

This is THE GREATEST sequel ever made. It can stand toe to toe ( and I personally believe above) other great sequels such as The Dark Knight, Empire Strikes Back, Top Gun: Maverick, and Spider Man: Across the Spider-Verse. In the replies, I want yall to name one sequel better than this one.

I think the same thing about Dune Part Two, it's really one of the sequels ever made. It might become my favourite sci-fi sequel, but it's definitely up there with Empire Strikes Back 🔥 Personally, I have a soft spot for TDK, still now that movie is mind-blowing and it got one of the absolute best acting performances ever with Heath Ledger's Joker. And that's an other movie that Hans Zimmer scored! 😁

*Spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen Dune: Part Two* My thoughts during Paul's recounting that his mother was the daughter of Baron Vladimir Harkonnen were "This is the 'The Empire strikes back' of this era..." Phenomenal film.

I think the action scenes were better in this Part 2, there are some not very good ones like the Gurney and Rabban ones, which was quite disappointing, but the CGI, the scale of things, the music, Fraser's Outstanding Cinematography, etc. The best were by far those of Feyd in the Arena, the entrance of the worms and the Final between Paul and Feyd was Tension to the maximum

Rabbans instant death made sense. He was portrayed as a coward and an idiot. The ultimate conclusion therefore is that he is a waste of life who isn't worth Gurneys time.

Sure! This imagine should be the new Dune book cover made to celebrate the release of "Part Two", it's truly awesome! Here there is the original wallpaper that I used for this video: image.tmdb.org/t/p/original/xOMo8BRK7PfcJv9JCnx7s5hj0PX.jpg And here I found from Reddit a phone wallpaper format of the same image: www.reddit.com/r/iWallpaper/comments/1azdo4x/dune_part_two_film_movie_depth_effect_optimized/

I understand now why people have complained getting headache watching this thing in cinemas... It's so loud and aggressive on the ear. There are huge chunks of that track that for me are only unpleasant noises.
@Tim_S_Lucas

Yeah there are parts of the soundtrack that are definitely more loud than pleasant to hear. It was something that happenend also in Part 1, and I think that's something that fits with the world of Dune being violent, cruel or also weird (like the whole Water of Life part). I didn't get headache from watching the movie, but it happened to me with "Man of Steel" and "King Arthur: Legend of the Sword". I loved both movies and their scores, but the music was pretty loud in both occasions!

Hans is great, if limited by Denis' cuts, as usual (sketchbook more than reveals this, the music there is better than anything Denis took from it). But the movies suck and broke my heart. Still... Good to have hans' stuff to read to, along with toto and graeme revell

I really don't know how some book readers can expect even more than this from a movie. Denis stayed very true to the book, and delivered one of the greatest pieces of cinematographic visuals and sound. Definitely a bar for sci-fi no one has reached and perhaps will reach for a while.

Seems to me like someone hates Denis so much as to let it ruin their experience of a fantastic film. If these movies "suck" then your bar for what a "good" movie is may just be unachievable.
