Hello Friends,
Today We are going to talk about Gizaudio’s latest collab IEM, the DUNU x Gizaudio DaVinci. This is a multi-driver hybrid IEM featuring a 2DD+4BA driver setup priced at 299$. I met Timmy during CanJam Singapore this year. He is a sweet fellow who is really enthusiastic about the audio scene. When I auditioned the DaVinci at the event, I told him that man this is your best collab so far, and his reply was, “You definitely love your Bass haha”. Well, yeah I want a punchy sound to my earphones. Well, back to the DaVinci.
A short disclaimer:-
Dunu x Gizaudio DaVinci was sent to me for the purpose of a Review tour by HiFiGo. I paid the customs and will take custody of the unit after the tour is over. I am no way getting paid to write positive or negative about the set. All impressions in this video are my own based on my own experience with the set. Dunu DaVinci is a well-built earphone. We have wooden face covers each looking different from the other with a unique texture. The look of the pair is cool and elegant at the same time. The inner side of the shell is semi-transparent, the inside driver arrangement is visible when light is passed through it. Shells are completely made up of resin material, they are light in weight and offer comfortable ergonomics. I find the isolation of the set to be excellent as well.
The stock cable is really good. It is soft, and has swappable termination plugs as well. The weight of the cable is also light, so it doesn’t drag the earphones down from the ears. Comfortable one right here.
Sound Quality:-
DUNU DaVinci has a smooth and captivating sound profile. The pair delivers a nice, punchy bass response. The bass region has a good rumble into the sub-bass, but the mid-bass is a little prominent and has more presence in the output. Mid-bass adds the required punch and body to the sound. DaVinci has a good level of bass punch, not overwhelming, but enough to satisfy one’s bass hunger. Midrange sounds accurate and natural, especially vocals. Lower-mids have a slight bit of warmth from the punchy mid-bass, I won’t call it muddiness because the overall sound has a clean presentation. but yeah, mid-bass warmth can be felt in the lower-mid region. Instruments such as piano, acoustic guitar, etc. sound clear and precise. Upper mids have a slightly forwarded presentation that brings the vocals a little forward. They sound emotive and captivating. Vocals are one of the core strong point of DaVinci’s sound. Treble region is safely tuned, no sharpness, no leanness. Safe and sound region for treble.
Technically Dunu DaVinci is an amazing performer. The soundstage has good width and amazing depth to the stage. Depth feels more and adds an open and 3D feel to the sound of the DaVinci. Layering of instruments, imaging, are decently executed. Each instruments can be identified clearly.
Final Words:-
Well, that’s it. This is all about the Dunu x Gizaudio DaVinci from my side. I personally liked this IEM. I would like to congratulate Timmy for this amazing collaboration with DUNU.
