Great review, and I agree 100%. I was a professional marine mechanic for 20+ years and I had Snap-On, MATCO and the like. After retiring from that job, I sold off those tools for a good price. I have since been stocking my home shop with "affordable" options. DuraTech has impressed me quite a bit. I have the double-ratcheting flex head sets in both SAE and Metric. Like you mentioned, I don't "Lean" on them expecting them to break loose frozen bolts, but I haven't exactly "babied" them either. Thank you for the vid. Not too many out there on these. :)

i have these and the long pattern flex head ones as well. I love them and I am a professional mechanic. so if you want a great set of tools then buy them. I had to buy the 21mm but it only cost 15

There are idiotic techs out there trying to break bolts using the ratcheting side, all negative reviews are from those suckers.

What I really like about this set is the 22mm which would pair really nicely with the Astro nano impact sockets that have the 22mm hexagonal bottom where the drive insert is located so you can use them all with a 22mm wrench. How are they holding up after almost a half a year?

Before I would buy these I would get the flex head version. Additionally that set doesn’t skip but only goes to 19.

I don’t like how the flex head duratech don’t have the extended/offset lip like the mountain/icon/platinum/adt wrenches made by kabo have. If I was going to get a double flex head that didn’t have that extended lip I would go with the six point tektons.

@@deeeyewhy5949Tekton don't make anymore 6 points . They make 12 pts same like the others . I don't know why .

Those look a lot like the icon brand. You should buy those to compare that would be some great info. Wonder if they are made by the same factory putting out apex tools

Man, I keep finding myself looking at some of the Duratech crap on Amazon. I don’t know why, but I want to buy them, I just haven’t pulled the trigger yet. I might just do it lol Do I need them? Absolutely not, got plenty of name-brand stuff. I’m not opposed to mid-tier cheaper stuff, love Gearwrench and Tekton, Icon, Sunex I think these Duratech are the same exact wrenches as a couple other brands I see on Amazon. Gear drive and Disen maybe? Edit 15 mins later: Welp, I just went and dropped $115 on this exact set and the double box-end flex head ratcheting set metric 😂 I’m blaming you buddy 🤣

Man that dreaded NPR fuel filter. Who the fuck thought that thing up. It's right up there with the occasional evil that is the Cummins B6.7 oil filter ( on newer models old ones were fine) that is preinstalled before they install the engine in which they proceed to string all the hoses and wires they possibly can under and around it which makes it akin to playing the role of a diesel midwife and aid the engine in giving birth to it's filter both ways.
