This is very cool as it is, nice to hear that direction flow is coming too. This might be pushing the scope a bit but if it could swirl around a curve and follow it, that would be really awesome too.

Thanks! We're thinking that's probably the way to go too - we have it working but just need to make the user experience is as straightforward as possible. :)

@@AishaSelime thanks so much for the encouragement! Ah yeah, you have identified we just kept the lite version as 'light' as possible so to speak, just a fast and easy method, we have a new update that we're in the process of uploading now for a few more features. :)

Great add on and very usefull . One question ... how can i make the particles show only in my god rays ?
@GlebAlexandrov
5 ай бұрын
Hi Alexander! I'd try these methods first: * The Emission shader can be disabled, in the settings, or rather swapped with the Diffuse/Translucency shader which would react to light so it should interact with the bright sunlight which also generates the light shafts, if I understood correctly * If that doesn't work then the 'mask' for the godrays can be rendered out (on a separate view layer perhaps?), then in the compositor, the dust particles can be revealed only when this mask shows white. I hope it makes sense :)

Hi! Unfortunately the short answer is - not really, the section at 15:10 discusses it briefly rendering the result out as an element, but in addition to what is mentioned there I can also say that alembic can get some of the way there for actually exporting them out, but the dust particles+ asset is a very Blender specific effect, so it wouldn't really work apart from in the most basic of circumstances - at least at the moment anyway! - Aidy.

How change the size from emitter?.. I need apply this a large room

If I understood your question, you just need to scale the dust particles object itself (via the S shortcut). Let me know if it helps.

Hi! just payed for DustParticles+. I am having an issue where I cannot see the particles in blender when I open the file. I can't even copy and paste them onto a new project because they simply do not show up even in render mode? Any ideas?

Hi! Just spotted this question here now, not sure if we've sorted this elsewhere via other channels but wanted to check if you were still having the issue? Firstly are you using Blender 3.6 and/or above? We do have a version that we should be able to get to you that can go back as far as Blender version 3.3. In any case, hope we can sort it, or it has been sorted for you already. :)

Could you please help me to fix such a problem, as rendering PNG images like empty ones? In render view it's ok
@CreativeShrimp

do you mean the render looks fine but then when you save the image that saved image when looked at in a file explorer doesn't load up? My first thought is that maybe there is an issue with the file explorer perhaps? Sounds like an odd issue though i may be misunderstanding in which case please feel free to correct me. :)

Seriously, where do y'all live? I have never ever seen dust particles "floating" around like that, all jerky and whatnot. The moths are very cool, the particles just look super unrealistic. I don't get the excitement.

Haha! Well it is pretty windy over here at times. :D The particles can be spread out, slowed and smoothed to a reasonable degree. That moving hanging 'dust' suspended in a sunbeam really lifts a scene, it's a pretty simple element but it does really help set off a decent bokeh in a nice way too, at least we think so anyway, it's definitely always going to be down to personal taste. :)
