Dustin didn't gave Nadal a single chance to play on the baseline. Talking about breaking opponent's rhythm, flow, and strategy? This match should be the gold standard for that.

It is good to see that even the Greats can be defeated with different strategies. This reminds me of Musashi vs Kojiro, in that Nadal was essentially stopped from playing his usual game and was forced to compete mostly on Brown's terms. Strategic tennis at its finest.

I think it was to highlight the stark difference in consistent price money wins between the two of them. As in: „While Rafa has been winning entire tournaments for the past ten years, dustin brown only got into two major tournaments“. I think they even mentioned it afterwards like that. But the comment on the watch is still weird, because it‘s completely unrelated to the match. The phrasing is way off. And they lack in technical talk during the match. Always bugs me about tennis commentators too…

OMG! I've just discovered Dustin Brown! This match was amazing. I love Rafa, but he looked he had no clue. It's a pity Brown had not managed to become "more famous" with his talent.. By no means, he did great, but he is/was so special. I wish him all the best!

He is not to be mentioned in the same breath as n. Kyrgios. Dustin is more mature and not the a-hole personality of Nick. I hope nick wins more as a single guy with more humility. It is incredible that Dustin does not win more majors with a game of this caliber.

Dustin was on fire! He is such a joy to watch because of his unorthodox style. He obviously has tremendous athleticism and unique skills. This match was one of the most entertaining I have seen and I was so happy for Dustin when he won.

I need to see more of Brown in the years to come. I discovered him only last year and he is 35 already, and maybe has 4-5 years as pro. I wish he would return to senior circuit one day like Bahrami. Champions like Federer. Nadal, Djokovich would all retire in the next 8 years and entertainers like Brown as well.

Wow I had never heard of Dustin until now. Knowing how to hit flat shots like that seems so strong. It reminds me of Sinner, they can hit the ball noticeably harder than other pros if they go full power.

Same. I watch this match probably 3 times a year. It is hands down the best tennis match I've ever seen. Man o man I love it. He's not in the big 3, not famous, not a grand slam winner, none of that, but managed to pull off the best tennis performance ever imo. Total legend.

Commentators have to be impartial, nobody wants to hear their opinion! I really enjoyed that they had to eat their words at the end. I'm watching again this historical match, loving it, Dustin is absolutely fantastic.

Dustin played a brilliant match with a very good game plan which he stuck to. He needed to chop and shorten balls. On grass this was a match winner but on clay i still think Rafa would have come through.

Dustin's game was a testament to, "What a difference a day makes !" His techniques should be emulated. They were unconventional and unpredictable. A pity, he did not expand on them. If he had, he would have been more successful in the game. His entertainment would be a factor as well. A likely major champion! He is surely missed from the tennis courts/ world.

Nobody talks about dustins serve and ground strokes being better than nadals. Natal can’t serve 130 mph. Dustin can repeatedly. Dustins soft shots are superior to nadal. Nadal can’t do the soft drop shots. The only reason Dustin loses is because of his strategy. Overall he is a much better tennis player than nadal
