Presented at the Center for Theory's Colloquium Sep. 25, 2024
Dr. Dustin Harp, Associate Professor of Communication at UTA, and Jaclyn Kirsch, Assistant Professor of Social Work at UTA, present their research documenting the realities of Afghan women refugees with special guest Roshan Mashal. Through interviews with Afghan women refugees we can learn about the shared experiences, memories and trauma of individuals and communities. How do we then take those women’s words, honor their lives and participation, while analyzing, writing, and producing academic research. This presentation is part of the R.U.G. (Resilience, Unity, Guide) Project.
