You know you are the best when your back-up singers are Alison Moyet, Sinead O'conneor, Madeline Bell etc. This was probably Dusty's last live performance on TV. She never sang a dud note in her life. Irrepressible, unequalled, never to be forgotten.

Burt Bacharach reckoned she used to sing a bit sharp sometimes but it didn't matter. I've never noticed it myself and I've been listening to Dusty since the Springfields in 1962

Wow! Dusty's phrasing is more mature / heart felt but this recording would have fit in almost seamlessly if it were on "Dusty In Memphis" and is much better than anything on her follow-up recordings for Wexler & Co. Thanks for posting this. Sad that this is Dusty's final TV appearance.

@@robertclatworthy1857 this was June 1995, this wasn't her last TV performance she was doing promotion for the album A Very Fine Love and did a few more press and TV interviews in the autumn of 1995 to promote 'Roll Away' her last single. She was in remission at the point of this interview unfortunately in the following year 1996 she discovered the cancer had gotten to her bones which sadly brought her to pass away in 1999😭
