excellent video, especially in the touch used to warn the movement of the rod at 6 psi. and checking for 3/4 offset with the tape measure. Field experience is clearly seen

thanks for sharing your knowledge. how 10 or 22 PSI can close a line that might contain a flow within more than 200 PSI ??

For the bench set pressure. Being 6-22 PSI, is that an acceptable range for movement? I noticed you wanted to go for 6PSI for stem movement, wouldn't it be acceptable as long as it's below 22?

a7x3186 The 6 to 22 PSI bench that is designed to act in coordination with the spring and actuator diaphragm size. 6 PSI to start moving the valve and should be fully stroke by 22 PSI. Spring seating pressure is chosen based on the process line pressure among other things.

First signs of actuator stem movement off upper mechanical stop needs to be exactly at 6psi. Rated travel (3/4") needs to be between 6psi and 22 psi precisely. It does not mean that first signs of actuator stem movement can be anywhere between 6 and 22psi. So essentially when coupled the valve travel is mechanically limited between it's rated travel on nameplate. Actuator mechanical stop at the top and plug on seat at the bottom.

Luke Staples so for 22psi if stem is not reached desired 3/4" then can we do spring adjustment ? Is it effect 6psi stem movement

When he says he want to make sure the valve is totally in close position before he will attached the bracket, it means to me the whole valve is push to close and so it is fail open...
@tylerwasilenko8485

Yes fail closed. The point was to make sure the plug is seated and diaphragm is at preload position before coupling
