Jim has told this story several times at different shows over the years, but this one is by far the funniest version. I've seen it a hundred times and I laugh just as hard each and every time. This is pure comedy gold!

Even after hearing that for about the 5th time. It still is a touching, hilarious dose of reality, told with love, and an honest father, son relationship. Great story. Thanks for sharing Jim...seven years later

Making fun of your elderly war veteran father for what would be embarrassing for him. Can't think of any other material?
He’s a comedian. It’s probably not an actual story ❄️

deano smith He’s not making fun of him. You don’t get comedy. If it’s funny it works. I’m sure his dad is proud of his sons ability to make people laugh.

@@MonkeyBusinessMan I get comedy and watch all the stand ups. The art of comedy (for me) isn't about ridiculing the obvious, there is no intelligence or skill in that (whether it's real or not). Humour that doesn't spoon feed the audience is far more cognitively stimulating.
