At age 75 and after 26 years I've just decided to get back to RC Electrics. All my old stuff was rudder and elevator only. My new plane, UMX Timber, now requires rudder control on the left stick rather than on the old right stick. As an old dog I've got to train myself to use the left stick for rudder now. To have too loose or free movement in the throttle that assures cross interference in my rudder operation. My rudder movement was always messing up my throttle settings. Thank for the advice to tighten my throttle gimbal. That should be mandatory in the operation of this transmitter. Thanks for the help. I also very much like the ratcheted sound and feel on the throttle too. The clicks of the ratchet is a tactile feedback as to the actual position on my throttle too. Thanks again.

Great job, what I needed to know. I was leery to mess with those adjustments because I got too enthusiastic with my last radio and broke the spring leaving the throttle at 50% all the time. Mind you I did get used to it. Anyhow, mostly flying helicopters. I certainly don’t want a ratchet throttle so again thank you very much.

On my DX 6 e The spring tension adjustment does not do a heck of a lot and your video should've included a warning because the screws that change the tension they never put a cap on it so that you cannot destroy your radio… Yes destroy it. If you're trying to loosen the spring tension you have a risk of turning too far the screw will follow all the parts inside will fall apart and then good luck taking this radio apart to repair it… My recommendation is three rotations only to be on the safe side and probably better off to not touch them at all. The ones for the ratcheting work better because you can actually feel it so you can go for that… But it's a dangerous thing if you're not careful and listen it's really easy to just not be careful one extra turn in your radio turns into scrap

Great video. Do you know why the throttle has less resolution than the elevator stick I noticed that the throttle doesn't go all the way down to the bottom or to the top is there a way to adjust that? Thanks

I noticed the same thing. Did you find out how to adjust this?

Dave, I also have this transmitter. I now find that I cannot assign “Safe” to a switch, because the process involves holding the two sticks in the bottom inside corners. The throws must be 100%, but I’m thinking the small limit in throttle’s movement is preventing me performing this procedure correctly. Do you have any ideas of what I can do?

Hi Do you know what to do if the screws of the throttle tensions and clicking have been to much unscrewed (stick is falling down with gravity whatever tighten the screws are ) ? I opened the transmitter and did not find solution to re-engage the screws... Thank you

I accidentally broke the back piece of where the clicker screw is and now my throttle just falls as well. You might have done the same thing. Sorry I'm 5 months late lol
