I have just repaired my Dx9 roller wheel as your video but I had to remove the main circuit board to access the roller wheel it took me about two and a half hours from start to finish..All working great now but I would not have had any idea what to do without your video so thanks very much.

I know this is years after the post of the video but this was just what the Dr. ordered. I bought a DX6i dirt cheap at a swap meet knowing that the roller button was bad and not knowing if I could fix it. Found this video, ordered the switches (still 5 for $.95) and after a total of 5 minutes it was as good as new. Thanks for the video brother!!!!

Awesome video!! BuT, I went to the website where you got the switch from and I was like "Awesome, these things are cheap as hell, .... wait a minute, shipping is 12 bucks?! Damn!" Lol. So I went into a transmitter I no longer use (cheap emax one I got for free in a trade a while back) and took out the trainer switch. I then soldered the trainer switch to the points where the roller button sits and installed it where my rudder toggle was and now I can use that as my "Enter" button :D Works everytime and I can keep a finger on it while im scrolling!! I assume you could do this with the rudder dual date switch I just didn't want to cut those wires. They are connected to a band of switches all in one plug. So I just tucked the whole assembly behind the hot glued wires so it doesn't move around..

You might not even need parts, the solder joint fractured on mine. Re-solder with a little extra and seat the switch a little more should be good to go. Reminds me of my old Honda fuel pump relay....

unfortuantely, I can no longer find that switch. Polulu.com takes you to Amazon now. I have gone through all of their products and that switch is not listed. Dang! You know any other sources? Mine doesn't click at all.
