I'm still not quite brave enough to dye 100g of roving! In this video, I dye 20g of White Jacob Top with the intention of spinning it. Not only did I want to use up some stock solutions I have, I also wanted to see how multiple different colours blend when spun together. I dyed this fibre in a low immersion set up.
Fibre reactive dyes can be used on plant based fibre and animal based fibres. Acid dyes can only be used on animal based fibres.
