I finally bought the airstrait after some not-good reviews, and am SO HAPPY I DID! I followed the directions - rough dry on roots, also did high heat and airflow, pulled hair a little tight as best as I could, and had great results. Did not need to follow-up with my flat iron after - not even in the back of my head.

I’m so glad that you got great results! I’m so happy I purchased the tool, I’ve been getting a lot of use out of it lately and it travels pretty well which is a big plus for me.

I bought it. I have shorter hair than you. So if you have medium/shoulder length hair, the airstraight can be awkward to use. WIth that said, I like it because I can't burn your hair or yourself. I wish it was skinnier/narrower. It's a very wide tool. But it works!

Thanks for sharing! This is a fair critique, hopefully they take this into consideration for the next version and make it more narrow.

You’re very welcome! I had the same issue until I started using the blowout balm, I’m still surprised by how well it works ☺️

Thank you so much for doing this! I, too, have been thinking about purchasing. This was great! One question, well two - 1. Did you go from straight to the foam roller thingy or did you add some curls first? 2. Can you use the AirStrait as a flat iron too? I’m traveling and wondering if I can only take this. Thanks again!!!

Hi! I started with straight hair when I used the roller, no curls were added before that. While the Airstrait does a good job stretching out my hair, the results aren’t as smooth as when I flat iron so keep that in mind. If you want a really sleek look while traveling, a flat iron is probably the way to go.

How did you get it dry in 35 mins with such small sections and re wetting it? It took me an hour and a half. Could you do a tutorial? I love the airstrait but I think it just takes too long. I’m trying to decide if I should return it for that reason alone

Hi there! The first link in the description box has some sped up clips of me doing my whole head, let me know if that helps. I can definitely do a more detailed demo if that would be helpful. Did you use wet to dry mode and the highest airflow? I think small sections are actually more efficient since it gets the hair straight with fewer passes.

I think it depends on each individuals hair type, porosity, density, and strand size. I saw a video of someone with 4c who did three passes to get their hair dried and straight, and another video of a Caucasian with straight hair use the same number of passes to get their hair dry.

Thanks for sharing Do you have to use a separate Heat protector with this tool?

Thanks for watching! My main heat protectant that I used was the Nexxus Blow Dry Balm, I didn’t add anything after that.
