Just purched the dyson v10 Cyclone Absolute,charged it for about 15 minutes,i did our 2 bed flat no problem,i just returned the shark liftaway. This dyson is awesome,brilliant suction,a lot quieter,no cord,i am over the moon,can,t recommend it enough.

Considering the high price (AU$999), this machine had better last at least ten years, trouble free. RIght?

Does the V10 has a anti tangle brush so it can pick up animal and human hair, without them being wrapped around the brush roller?

What’s the main difference between the V10 $499, $599, & $699 price point on this vacuum??
@kshamiltron

Medium setting has 40 min battery life not a guess of 25. Probably the reason I will buy this vacuum over the v8. Medium setting is almost the same suction as v8 on high.

Agreed, medium is the setting of choice I think.

Is the V10 going to replace all of Dyson's uprights?Gotta wonder how this will work out with less than 7 minutes of run time. Also,I don't think their V10 with deep clean as well as their multifloor2. Maybe you can do a comparison test between these 2 machines.

I can't imagine cleaning a 3500 square foot house in 6 minutes. This will definitely hurt Dyson's market in the US. Thanks for the response.

Dyson is still going to release corded machines. They will just be using less budget developing them, so they can put more emphasis on their cordless. This means they can afford to create better technology for the cordless. Who knows. Maybe one day, the battery will last 2 hours and there will be no need for a MAX mode, because the machine already produces great suction. Like 140 AW.

One odd thing, the reviewer really praises the Absolute version with fluffy roller, but when reviewing the V11, he says he never even uses the fluffy roller.

Jason Klein yes good you caught this. The v11 may have more suction than the v10 but with my experience that torque drive head gives me plenty of cleaning ability on tile or wood floors. I don’t know about you but I’m not spilling cereal all over the floor on a regular basis to justify the $125 fluffy head. I would assume the only legitimate reason to get one is for properly treated wood floors that need to be cleaned as delicately as possible.

@scott bakula Wow, old post. I'll comment though, I since own one with fluffy roller and if you have hard flooring, you want this. It's much better (and easier) than the brush roller. Spend the extra and get both rollers.

I have 2 shark ion flex vacuums is the dyson better then the shark ion flexs two things I love about the shark ionflex is the joint to go under stiff that flexes and the carpet and fluffy roller in the same vacuum head its very flawless transition from hard floor to carpet for the shark does the dyson v10 do well from hard floors to carpet with one brush or do you have to carry the other rollers and switch them alot
