More videos would be nice from you guys. If it wasn't for finding these videos last year, I would have changed to another controller. Maybe it's just me, but I had a hard time following the instruction manual.

I really wish this was a real boost controller. It would cost pennies to make it a real PID controller with a target boost level instead of the static curve setups that can't adapt to changing conditions or altitude. I have one sitting in a box brand new because I didn't read carefully before buying. :/

This unit has seen very little revisions in the past decade. Fortunately, it is still a very popular options for various communities so you will find luck selling it secondhand on the classifieds. Several naturally aspirated that have been converted to turbocharged applications make use of them more than anything else out there. Try some Mustang and Camaro forums and groups!

@@TurbosmartHQ yep, I just haven't spent much time trying to sell it. It's really unfortunate that there are essentially *zero* closed loop PID-based boost controllers on the market. The $50 setup my wife cobbled together with an Arduino works fantastically, though. It's just too bad nobody seems to want to bring something so simple and easy to make to market.

Since there is 6 points you can set. Can you individually set these points per gear without having to manually change the set point?

Technically yes you can. In a future video we have planned we will cover our Switch Logic feature that allows you to ground out the Green or Orange wires to activate a Boost By Gear or Boost By Time setup.

@@TurbosmartHQ Okay thank you. One last question how does the stand-alone know which gear the car is in to trigger which particular set point? Or will the green/orange grounds be triggered multiple times to dictate the set point?

@@custodiolea I recommend looking a Cortex Boost controller. It’s about the same price and is better for fine tuning for boost by gear/boost control.

Yes, you can set up functions like Boost By RPM using the controller.

Does each Boost Group you set up have its own OBS value? Or is it all set as one value to all BG's.

The OBS valve is for all boost groups. It is the highest boost level that you do not want to exceed for the safety of your engine.

@@TurbosmartHQ Ok good info. For some of us running Pump gas moderate boost and E85 high boost maps we need to change that value every time we switch tunes . . No big issue. Thx.

so how do you get sp2 or a second boost setting to stay after a key cycle? it keeps reverting to sp1 ( low boost even after it is saved every key cycle. just looking for a permanent toggle for high boost and low boost setting.

It will always default to sp1

It will default to SP1 anytime the controller is powered off and powered back on.

@@TurbosmartHQ for all it is capable of, a memory function i would think is a very basic feature to add. Kinda shocked it has no way to have it stay on its last setting, and very inconvenient to have to reset your controller every time you get in the car. May be something you want to add to its next revision.
