I've done well over 200 mph (that's after a stoop dive, to give it a slingshot effect) with a 11x 12 prop. Well over 200 mph can be done but there are some trade-offs. Since the engine is torquey to begin with, the plane will try the torque roll upon takeoff so you would need more runway to gradually roll out the plane safely in the air. Also the ECU will overheat after long periods of WOT so be careful.

Well done bro! Nice rotation and landing! So I would have to look it up but two beeps I do believe is your battery low voltage cut off on that avian esc. The v1200 will do that to some batterys it draws hard AF! Compaired to other 6s rigs. So I have a v1200 and an apc 10x10 in my collection, I will have to try this out. I havnt yet because I was worried the torque would be too much along with p-factor on rotation, didn't look too bad. I have 2 v900's one running an efxtra racer 1780kv motor with a custom 6 5/8 by 8 apc prop. Its nearv150mph on 4s! Much faster than stock v900 1260kv motor. And then I have a second v900 with an avian 6s capable esc and reverse thrust, pluss tricycle landing gear with a steerable nose wheel, all quick detach! As well as flaps on the stock motor v900. She s sweet on 5s and near your performance here on 6s. Shes totally one of my new favorites, after the mods. Her gear dont retract but they are small tires and hand made wire struts so she dosnt seem to even notice the extra drag! Anyway sweet video except very hard to see on my phone. That being said you were doing 200mph!! 👍💥💪👌😍💯

That beeb-beeb sound is the thermal and low voltage warning beep.. pretty sure you probably know the ESC runs hoter and draws way more voltage on a bigger prop like the one you have. In extreme cases the ESC will slow the motor RPMs down to try to save the ESC from overheating and try to have enough voltage to attempt a safe landing.

How much experience would be needed to step up to this plane? Landing would be my concern. Thanks.

It is absolutely an advanced-level model, IMO. It is difficult to take off and land, especially on grass. Take offs are difficult because the tiny tail wheel has zero authority to keep the model tracking in a straight line and you have to very gently ease into the power due to the extreme torque from the motor - no more than 50-60% throttle until off the ground. Landing requires a loooong approach and you have to fly it all the way to touch down, and if you land too fast it will nose over and potentially cartwheel.

Do you feel any changes in handling compared to stock prop?
@AP3D

The 10x10E makes take off (especially) and landing a bit more tricky. Requires more skills/finesse. My best suggestion is to get completely comfortable with the plane on the stock prop and then move to the 10x10E.

How many amps does it draw with the 10x10 prop? .. and did you try a 10x9 before ?
@AP3D

No idea; I don't have a way to measure it but in my experience the stock ESC is perfectly fine with the 10x10 provided you have a good C-rated pack. I've only used the stock prop and the 10x10E. Start with the stock prop since it is much easier to manage on the ground and the 10x10 once you get comfortable with it.

@@AP3D It's well over 150 amps! If you full throttle for too long with the 10x10 prop, the amp would start to overheat and will cause it to go into a safety mode and start to beep rapidly, at the same time, will slowly start to turn down the power output.

@@Blueberry954 10x12 is too much for the stock ESC. The 10x10 is right on the edge of what it can handle and flight time is less than 4 minutes so it's also very hard on the battery packs. I don't plan on trying to push it any furhter.

I just clocked mines up at 188mph with my Futaba 32MZ I put a gps speed sensor in it. No wonder I smoke a turbine jet. My v1200 was over 190mph. That’s almost 200mph on a dive. I knew that V1200 is faster. My V1200 will go 198mph too I got the same prop 10x10e all stock. But my battery is warn out.
