I just bought the E-Revo 2.0, and was sad to see that my existing 3S batteries do not fit (too thick), so I'm waiting on new batteries to come in from Traxxas. Just another thing for people to take into account when buying these, their existing batteries might not fit as they only take the thinner packs. It's really hard to fully appreciate the size difference on video; it's something you really have to see to appreciate. I really can't wait to get those batteries in so I can start using this beast! My Rustler VXL really couldn't handle my back yard as it's a bit too bumpy, and the chassis sits too low. I'm not planning on doing any jumping, so I'm hoping the E-Revo will hold up well.

i agree it is hard to get used to the price. but when you think about the money it took to design extremely durable parts like plastic and motors it starts to make sense. and then having warranties on top of that. its hard for me to justify spending over $600 on a toy but then i think about hobbies where people are dumping thousands and i feel better. a lift kit, winch, and tires for my jeep was over $2000 and breaking parts is a lot more expensive than the $5 traxxas parts

Will it be safe to do some jumps and flips, like on your small ramp? Or will things break? I don't want an item that requires heavy maintenance. I will mostly be using it around the yard, on some light to moderate weeds. Which is best for that? I was considering the 1/10 Stampede, 1/10 Rustler, or 1/10 E Revo. I want something that can go on my yard conditions, but still turn decently. And maybe do some flips, like on your video. If I can get a ramp like that.

Awesome comparison.. Sorry I had to respond to a person on here that was disrespectful to what your video is about and tried to bring negativity to the RC hobby..Traxxas and Tekno are my main BASHERS and the 3 arrmas I owned were horrible since they are folding up after 1 run... That's why I started buying kits from tekno..if someone mentions an arrma keep in mind your gonna spend allot of cash in m2c and voltage hobbies. even lightly bashed they bend..v4 is just a new body not a new chassis which had been their problem for years now.. To be fair I like their designs but their aluminum chassis is totally garbage and unexceptable for free..I wouldn't except 1 for free cause I know I would need to buy a new chassis immediately...Traxxas stands behind their product..arrma self the same ingredients in a nicer body..v4 really arrma?? If you want your customers back then fix the main issue..I know arrma fanboys get bent out of shape but you know you can item more then 1brand.... Your watching a traxxas compared to another Traxxas.. When arrma fixes this issue with some real 6061 or 7075 aluminum then I will buy a 4th..but all the proof is in the new videos it there.. Watch and learn about all RCS B4 you buy them.. Arrma had awesome designs but horrible quality aluminum.

I’m similar to you I enjoy many brands. I own Traxxas, Arrma, Axial, Associated, HPI etc. I have one Arrma you might enjoy since you don’t like the chassis folding. And that is the Nero 6S. The truck is a beast I haven’t had too many issues with it besides the steering servo and an occasional diff servo going out. It’s kind of a shelf model now though being discontinued. I just ordered a Rustler 4x4 vxl a couple days ago can’t wait to get it. I’ve got an Xmaxx and 4tec 2.0 also. And building a slash into a ultimate version. Here’s something. Why didn’t Arrma use a thicker chassis to begin with? I have a older HPI Vorza Flux 6s and the thing is as monster with a 4mm good quality metal chassis it’s hard to tweak it! The only issues I have had on 6S with that old school heavy buggy is the drive cups wear after a while. Otherwise it is a tank

Arrma needs a new chassis on their v4's immediately. Plus all the voltage Hobby's upgrades needed and that's rediculous to have to basically build the whole RTR truck over NOT TO MENTION COST MORE MONEY..arrma used to be good now their going 3s and 4s cause their 6s v4's are tacos fold up on first jump.. He's comparision is about the 2 traxxas here... So why do you even watch this video if your just gonna hate on this brand.we all love RCS.. Their is no reason to hate on another brand.. Go over to the arrma forum and talk about why they need a m2c chassis after 1 decent jump.. This is a fact at least 75% of every first run bash videos bend a chassis..if you want to suggest an RC pick 1 of the 2 compared otherwise since you despise Traxxas and are basically using your negativity in a hobby that we all enjoy. And that everyone can choose their own brand..people that speak for arrma act like they own the company or designed the trucks themselves.. Be honest and add up all the parts and upgrades needed(including the actual chassis from m2c and other voltage hobby upgrades needed to keep it running).. And then compare that price to these stock traxxss.. It will be higher then both of these combined. I owned 1 v1 typhon it was good back then.. 1 v4 kraton (🌮 hitting a street speed bump) and the v2 TALION.. That's was a good truggy for street use.. Otherwise I run tekno mt410 et48.3 et410 and sct.3 Traxxas xmaxx and Maxx custom builds that I choose to spend$on...keep in mind you will have to buy these things for arrma..and if you guys really want to buy a new RC just watch all the videos you can....don't listen to people like this guy who's comments I'm replying to..or even what I'm saying. Seriously watch all the vids you can.. The proof is all over KZitem.. Look it Up see the chassis twist..arrma fanboys are rediculous..except rich duberbash and RC dude 81 their honest about upgrades and love their arrmas that are actually all noon arrma aluminum upgrades..Kevin talbot who's known to break all RCS just shows how much he spent on the kraton and how he don't run it no more cause he had to fix it more then run it and that's after all the upgrades..I would've rather seen arrma fo bankrupt completely then see what they become now.. It's the same kraton with a new body and it don't compare to the older versions their aluminum on 6s twist so easy. I owned 3arrmas and still have my talion. So even though I own arrma I'm at least gonna soak the truth.. Again don't take my word for it watch all the videos you can.. Go with the 3s or 4s models.. Even though they took off their aluminum shocks on these smaller variants 1 of the best parts (the red arrma metal alloy shocks that should be included on the 4s models for that price and speed they claim. At least they have stronger chassis then their 6s period)... He's happy with his 2 traxxas and was honest about breakages and cost of maintenance.... Just be honest with yourself...if you seemed arrma would you be happy with all the issues that their new v4's have..I would take a new arrma without that pretty body for a decent chassis...I'm a arrma owner.. And yes I think horizon needs to fix this issue..not q time had any of my tekno chassis bent.. Or any of my xmaxx erevo chassis broke. Sorry about this rant is not personal towards the person who wrote it...I just hate to see bad advice given out.. BUT WHATEVER MAKES YOU HAPPY.... DON'T TRY TO CONVERT PEOPLE 🤣🤣

Those guys also can handle bashers and had years of practice. You can't expect anything stock to survive those kinds of jumps. I am not trying to convert him I am asking if he ever considered growing his collections. Leave the fan boy stuff out of this please. I ask if he ever considered trying over things. I bought an arrma kraton v2 when it came out and its the most durable RC I have ever owned. (out of associated, ofna, sportwerks, tacon, turnigy, and traxxas)The only thing I have managed to break on it is the battery tray. It took a nose dive off a half-pipe at a skatepark and the 6s pack that I had in it slid forward so violently that it broke the plastic retainer. Besides that, just gotta straighten the rear shock tower out every once in a while. Now I wont buy any traxxas vehicles again for my own personal reasons, but they seem to be going in the right direction with the new version of the e-revo. I would also think it will hold a bit more value than the rustler 4x4 if anyone here cares about resale value down the line.

I see like e revo is a lot unstable even with tsm and speed they are about the same stock and for the backflips and stuff the rustler has more tires for speed run so they dont baloon has much and thats why it has not a lot of power to rotate in the hair but with some wd40 it could make the tires strecth maybe a little bit more and get you that power or just completly change the tires. And for the buddy for the rustler yeah it an issue for the rear because the rear gets completly destroyed reinforce it with shoe goo and dry wall tape those thinks are a miracle i put hotglue on the joins of the wheelie bar wher they meet the diff case so that it has more resistance and hit less the body. Also spray wd40 on the driveshafts you will thank me later

What does that have anything to do with it? I run my rock crawler on 3s, 4s, or 6s depending on the wheel speed I need. 60k rpm and 20mph for really loose terrain on 6s, 40k rpm for generally use everywhere on 4s, and 30k rpm using 3s for high traction rock crawling. . Only reason why I don’t use 6s all the time is due to weight. My mamba x has an aux wire that allows me to adjust power output based off my ch5 position. . You can run 6s and a low kv motor on any rig so long as your gearing and kv rating are taken into account.

I got the stampede 4x4 and the e revo. Got the revo brand new for 500. Id take the revo by far over the stampede. Revo has upgraded axles, has a nice hex design for the wheels, they wont ever circle out like several of my stampede wheels did. Revo can take 3s lipos alot better than the stampede. Revo is bigger and bigger is definitely more fun. Especially that tire size for off roading and snow. So more ground clearance if you stiff up your shocks

Linkage shocks also change the leverage the shock has over the suspension based off travel position. Meaning you get a softer shock and spring in the beginning and it hardens up before it bottoms out. Motorcycles have used this for decades.

Why would you have to replace those parts almost right after you buy it? I'm only 17, so I domt have experience with fixing cars and stuff but what i did with my ruslter was if it wasnt working properly than i would troubleshoot and try and fighter out myself what it was, and if i can fix it. Is that possible with the e revo?

You can fix the E Revo your self. There are lots of videos online showing a lot of the repairs. Some of the parts on the E Revo just do not hold up right out of the box. I'm not sure why Traxxas made it like that. Most RC's do need some kind of upgrade though. None of them are perfect.
