MIP stuff is great I love their tools and need to pick up the ball end stuff they recently released. I throw their grease and thread lock in a go bag just in case and usually use my bench grease and thread lock instead when at my bench. Also that Bronco is awesome

Yeah they really are. I think the stock ones are good if you are like me and conservative at driving. Even if you arent, they should last a while!

My dad had a black 1979 bronco mint. Never seen a dirt road. It had wheels just like the ones in this video.

That interior is pretty impressive. On the subject of mip drive shafts i havent ran them yet on my trx4. Ive been running the stock ones for over a year with no issues. I cant wait to see what other stuff you come up with for the trx4.

I seem to agree with you. I think the stock ones are really good, I just love MIP too much! I have some bumpers almost done for the Bronco...

Other then the stock steering servo the trx4 is a tough truck out of the box. Stock drive shafts do require regular maintenance though or else they squeak. I don't beat on mine to much it goes for 5 mile trail runs mostly.

Where can I get those wheels? Your bronco looks so realistic. I get excited like a child when I get a ampro alerts with bronco in the name

Hey Brian, I actually designed those. They will be on shapeways but the high detail version isn't that good for beating on and the nylon ones are harder to make look nice. I can have a video of them posted soon.

Hahahaahhaa! Yeah I hear you. Still, it is one of the very, very few companies whose products are not designed or manufactured in China. Nothing against China mind you, but it is nice to see people employed outside of there.

Great upgrade for sure, I appreciate you sharing because I didn't realize the different backset where the dry shaft boats on I will be checking my. I use a dry lubricant M00- Slick happy trails

Hey man love the video , i also want to note that if you install a lift kit on the trx4 defender or bronco the shaft will be extended a little bit not sure how to remedy that but it works ok

Hey bro I found a company that sells longer MIP drive shafts that fit the female spline called ‘’’supershafty.com’’ i’m hoping that they work , I ordered 2 longer shafts so that more of the spline and shaft have the proper contact. Thanks for all that you do for the hobby. Cheers

I've been running these axles on my Bronco for a little while and I love them . I still have mine on a RC 10GT . Fantastic upgrade, never have to worry with MIP parts. I am curious about the rims on the truck, I had the real turbine rims on my 1980 Bronco would love a set of thoes for my build! Great video's, cheers!

Will those same MIP drive shafts fit on the lifted bronco?
@AMPROEngineering
4 жыл бұрын
Oh that is a great question. they should fit the applications that the stock ones fit so if the stock ones work on your lifted truck, these should but confirm this with MIP.

I think so? As long as the wheel base it the same. You can check with MIP to confirm.

These are an Ampro designed wheel. There is a link in the description to our shapeways store but here is the direct link. They are printed in MJF nylon. www.shapeways.com/product/CWZ6QR56U/rim008-01-turbine-wheel-1-9-quot-2-0-quot?optionId=247850183&li=shops

That is the cost of something designed, manufactured and shipped from the United States. If it was made in china, it would be a fiver.
