80s and 90s RC had the most beautiful box art! This is very cool I never even heard of this company before.

Yup there is not really much out there on this one... The fact that it was a short wheel base version and a truck body... made it even more of an easy decision to go with this one. Plus I love the look of it.

In the 90s I owned my only Hirobo, the Zerda with red cage which I have learned was the RTR version. This came after the 44b and was their most successful model. I ended up selling it to Canada via Tamiyaclub.

Keith is awesome. He donated all the leftover falcon parts from his restorations to our channel. I just got a basket case falcon coming from evilbay that has enough good parts I should be able to put together one maybe 2 falcons from the parts. We’ll be building that pretty soon 😁 I didn’t know this truck existed. I’ve only seen their buggies

When I saw this one on eBay I ended up doing some research on the brand. To my surprise this was the only truck they put out. To me, it made it even more desirable to own.

I'm currently working on a similar project, with a 44B-Hilux, a 44B-LWB and a Zerda. My Hilux as a bodyshell in verry poor state. I did model all the parts in Fusion 360 for all those 3 chassis (including bodyshell accessories for the Hilux). It would be great if you could get this bodyshell rerproduced (some people are able to do non destructive work on the bodyshell when doing the mould)... Anycase, nice kit, and if you need a servo saver, you may go on thingiverse, as it is the same for the Hilux than it is for the Hirobo Bearcat SS (you may find my Bearcat parts on Thingiverse easily by searching for Hirobo). Good luck for the build :-)

Real neat and very square wheelbase truck! It is an interesting paint scheme on it as I see it has the black body and white bed are where most of the time you would see a black bed area and other color on the body. I think it looks kind of cool like that though. Very interesting truck for sure and looking forward to seeing it all done up!
@RCRetro
Жыл бұрын
I agree with you about the white bed area... After seeing pics online and ordering this, I didn't realize until I opened it up and looked closely at the box art that the bed area was white. Cool to me lol...

Excellent video very cool rc👏 Just be careful on doing that soapy water method of applying the decals on old decals sheets because modern soaps can react with older glue and actually take the glue off! So it might be wise just to test a bit of the decal sheet first👍
@RCRetro
Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the recommendation. I’ll do that. I’ve done the warm soap method on my Tamiya Daytona Thunder. It worked nicely but I’ll test one or two decals from this sheet first. Thanks again.

@@RCRetro I did it on an old tamiya boomerang decals and like I say it took all the glue off (fairy liquid it was) rendered the decals useless😧! I look forward to seeing the finished truck👍
