@@jimmyneutron4158 Bismarck in 1941 was a much larger threat than Tirpitz was in 1944. Britain was alone in the battle of the Atlantic and desperately needed convoys from the US to keep herself and the USSR in the war. By 1944, most of Germany surface fleet had been destroyed, leaving Tirpitz as a vulnerable target. This is why Bismarck was so feared, it's down to context and logistics, not about the ship herself.

USS ENTERPRISE (CV-6) was the most decorated warship of WWII; she received 20 battle stars, three more than any other ship. USS ENTERPRISE became the first aircraft carrier to be awarded the Presidential Unit Citation. She later received a Navy Unit Commendation, becoming the only carrier awarded both decorations for service in the Second World War. While ENTERPRISE docked in Southampton, England on November 23, 1945. During her brief stay, she was boarded by the British First Lord of the Admiralty, Sir Albert Alexander, who presented Enterprise a British Admiralty Pennant, the most prestigious decoration of the Royal Navy. Fun fact the Bismarck sank on its first voyage, the royal navy laid eyes on it and radioed the royal air force then called for reinforcements in gunboats and battleship

I'm actually kind of sad you didn't put the real Bismarck. It's my favourite ship. But the rest of the video is top notch👌

I made this video ages ago when I was a lot less good at checking for things like this. Nowadays I make sure there are multiple sources so I know it’s the right thing. Have a great day!

Bismarck and Vittorio Venneto: we’re the best ships of our countries during the war! A shitty, decades old biplane made of wood and fabric: are you sure about that?

I’d honestly the the type 21 u boat over the bismarck for Germany. Was far more effective at disrupting convoys.
