Honestly, knowing how the offense ended up being, if Vic Fangio was here in 2023, it would have masked the issues with the offense. We would not have won the Superbowl and we would have not gotten Moore. This season could be a blessing in disguise.

I doubt that ,this defense is horrid it's still the same scheme , fangio just might be better situationally and will def. Set up a defense for when he is gone but imo no thanks , we need a more aggressive , deceitful defensive scheme show man but it's zone or show zone is man type plays which our previous dc couldn't do because they barely grasped the concepts

@@pointTv-fs1ow it’s not horrid at all.. situational play calling is everything. If he’s better situationally it will make a world of difference. Fangio scheme has been plenty successful. We need better linebackers, a replacement for JB and better situational play calling.

You can flame me for being a new Eagle's fan, but the reason I'm here is because of Kellen. I live in Idaho and he is a local hero here and I watched pretty much every game when he was the QB for Boise State. I followed him through the tough years when he was a backup for the Lions and he never took a snap in regulation until Dallas and his first start he threw over 400+ yards without Dez. I'll get to the point...I've never been so excited in the last 14 years for any team as I am right now for the Eagles. With Vic on D, this team should rock and crush the league. I don't believe any player or coach is the second coming of Christ, but this feels pretty damn close.

We wouldn't know who Ezekiel Elliot and Tony Pollard are if Kellen Moore didn't like run the ball. I also think Kelce is either going to get into coaching or if he wants to go the broadcast route, lets not forget Merrill Reese is in his 80's and is beginning to look rough, a year or two of Merrill, Quick and Kelce calling the game would be a great listen. I think the broadcast route is an option over coaching, you don't really see coaches doing all the extra curriculars (podcasting) anywhere in the league

The Tuna used to say you can't polish sh!t. Too many times, good coaches are the fall guys because front offices didn't give them the personnel they needed to be successful and/or overpaid players like Dak Prescott choked in the playoffs. Kellen Moore was a victim of this. In LA he had the worst OL in the league and and was plagued with injuries of weapons. He will get the most possible out of Hurts....

I don't think people understand how much even a slightly competent OC could do for this team. They were 10-1 against good teams with a shitty offensive plan.. Imagine a good or even decent plan again?
@irishsteve2764
7 ай бұрын
If people know and understand Kellen Moore's offense it isn't much different from the offense we have been running. Sirianni is on record of saying that he prefers to run a deep vertical passing. In theory it sounds good for multiple reasons. (1) it allows to make a big play on any down. (2) it is designed to allow Hurts to have big 10-15 yard runs (if no receiver is open down field) basically the idea is: if you send all your receivers down field, very few defenders near the line of scrimmage (except for the D-line players, naturally). It worked very well in 2022. But in 2023 teams figured out how to defend it. Taking away Hurts running. Unfortunately Sirianni or OC B. Johnson never adjusted, which led to the offense looking very vanilla. New OC Kellen Moore runs a similar style of offense, focused on a deep vertical passing game. Hopefully both Sirianni and Moore have learned how to adjust when the defense changes. Sirianni offense last year was horrible. And Dallas fired Moore for the same reasons 2 years ago. Yes the offense can be very devastating. But they need to know how to make the necessary adjustments when the defense figures you out. I still have faith that Sirianni and the offense can still be successful. But only if they understand to change it up when the play design are no longer available.
