The Bald Canyon Nest is located on San Clemente Island, California. This nest is remote. The BC pair have three eaglets that hatched on April 2, 3 and 6th. The older eaglet E#1 fell off the nest sometime during the night on April 21. The US Military provided permission to Dr. Sharpe and the Institute for Wildlife Studies (IWS), USFWS to rescue the eaglet. Due to the remoteness of this nest, Dr. Sharpe was not able to get anyone at this nest until today.
This footage captures the rescue's team arrival, return of the eaglet to the nest, and a lovely feeding for all eaglets afterwards. A remarkable outcome at this nest. Thanks to Dr. Sharpe, Nicole, and helper, the USFWS/IWS and the USA Military for making this intervention and rescue possible, without your help the eaglet was at great risk.
