Usually these types of videos fail to properly "capture" the time they claim to be taking place in. Either by being too obvious about certain things, "It's the 90s and I'm ON THE INTERNET! I just downloaded a picture in 20 minutes!" or somehow they miss the mark and show/do/say things that weren't part of the 1990s but more the 1980s or something. This one? Didn't do that, it genuinely felt like a 1990s commercial without overdoing it too much. Even the video-quality, inserts of the computer monitor and the on-screen text felt very true to the era. If I didn't know better, I'd swear it was a real commercial.

Well said -- my thoughts exactly. They also avoided getting sucked into doing the "vhs scanline" gag every 3 seconds like in that 90's Game of Thrones theme spoof. That was way overdone on an otherwise great video.

I agree, i think this must have been made with real editing equipment from the time (i don't know why other 90's parody creators do that, it's probably not that hard to find the stuff on eBay)

I don't mean to be racist but to me the most glaring inauthenticity is the casting of the guy at the computer. in 1995 I doubt they would have chosen someone so clearly ethnic.
