Thank you Ari, I'm glad you appreciated the comment. Great mix of questions! There's so many layers to planning for retirement - you're right that it's a highly personalized situation.

MNST has been a top 10 stock over the past 20 years....Your Dad is a very smart man for holding and not interrupting compound growth

@@dqretirement Something seems off. He says he parents are house rich and cash poor. But if his dad have stock options working at Monster, they should be set.....

Excellent relatable content. It's nice to hear someone bridge the retirement topic from the point of "when do I get to work by choice instead of obligation" and your videos are inclusive of people who want to retire simply and those who want a lavish lifestyle. I watched a few videos and headed to catch up on the rest, well done!

Loved this! You are not mean, you're just blunt! (Blunt meaning clear and concise.) Question: We've gone from cash in MM fund to cover potential emergencies to cash to cover about a year's expenses by selling some IRA funds. I'm wondering if we should instead start putting IRA funds into a Roth IRA MM fund so the interest won't be taxable. In our 60's, have had Roth IRAs for many years, so I think that there won't be a holding period for doing that. Is that correct?

Retiring at age 56 with $200k cash+ $3m split over 401k, brokerage acct and Roth. $10k monthly expenses. Would you use the cash as income from ages 56-57/58 to qualify for ACA higher health subsidies? Would you use the cash to pay down the mortgage and reduce monthly expenses? or leave cash alone and live on brokerage acct funds til 59 1/2?

You are going to have to show some income for the subsidies so some will come out of the 401k, IRA, etc. If you show $0, it will throw a red flag and they will hammer you. Believe you have to be at least at poverty line minimum.

I challenge Ari to not say "hey" or "i want you" in his next video a single time.

Ari is a good dude...Just lacks a little "life experience" on the resume. Hard to work with someone half my age.....I have biases...Sorry
