A pen conductor. The earth arrangement you mention is a TNC-S (Tera Neutral combined a separated , ie the neutral and earth from the transformer is connected together up the supply head the eart the separates to the consumer unit, The test is Ze ie external earth lop impedance and the maximum value is 0.35 of a ohm there would not be an earth rod on the system . TT system have an earth rod the Maximum Ze for a TT system is 200 ohms , A TNS system (Tera neutral separate) Ze .28 ohms maximum . This is in the Uk equapatental bonding your right should be no higher than 0.5 of an ohm . I know your in new Zealand but your regs are the same as the Uk Good demonstration though mate and clearly explained 👍

I’m pretty sure that New Zealand does not use BS7671. You know, because he specifically quoted the standards he used and they were from a different standards agency. Required values for this stuff is in no way universal.
