@@DougLas-gt3fw idk i think it has to with their audiences being a fan of more underground hiphop..(which has a ton of samples and less trap production) so when an album has a lot of trap production you arent really hyped to check it out for some reason.. and its also too hip hop for mainstream melodic rap audiences. They are in the middle of two kinds of listeners. Well thats my theory.

Mirrorland was like an 8/10 for me and Ghetto Gods I can say is a 10/10. All my gripes with Mirrorland (mainly being the slower songs in the back and half end felt halfbaked and a chore to get through) they have cleared here and made an extremely ear grabbing, abstract but accessible and well thought out album. All the features add but they hold their own. Love the message of never forgetting your roots and speaking on issues from where you came when you have the voice and power they do. (For them being the ghetto in ATL) If this dropped last year it would've given Tyler a run for his money for AOTY.

Imo they disappointed with this album, every song had mostly one beat that was on repeat and sounded like a SoundCloud beat, some of the lyrics are really corny like: momma asked me if I do drugs? Momma you think I would tell you if I did? It was really corny ☹️ looking back at what they made and did on mirrorland i am amazed. Mirrorland had so many dynamic songs that had beat switched and different levels all over the place. Ghetto gods almost always has 1 beat for each song (where is the dynamic music?)
