Nice tip. I hadn't thought of this way before. I typically make one rectangle the exact dimensions of the cutting board or work piece and then just use the offset tool to create a second rectangle of the exact .75 inch offset. This method would save me one step. thank you for sharing.

Couldnt you just do an offset .75 and it would do the same thing?

You can also start in the center of the material and just do: X-.75= Y-.75= Less steps & easier math for the people how don’t like math formulas
