What the what! Italians making Chinese food… Forget about it…Just joking! This is one of my favorite things to cook on my Blackstone. Not only because it taste great, but it makes me look like I really know what I’m doing on a huge flat top.🤣 it all looked absolutely delicious but I would like to add sesame seed oil. This gives it that take out flavor. But that is just my opinion! As always I enjoy watching you three cut up and cook!👊🏻👍🏼🍻😋

Hey guys👋🏼For info on using “baking soda as a meat tenderizer”, do a KZitem search for it…there are plenty of videos on it, including Alton Brown, so you should be able to get the ratios from one of them. I remember seeing an America’s Test Kitchen video that explained it. BTW, love the trucker tan, Chris! 🤪😖🤣

THIS LOOK SO GOOD now I am craving stir-fried rice. However I use a short cut With Uncle Ben's precooked long grain rice as it is pantry stable. So any time I have a hankering to make fried rice, it is there and ready to use. I keep several packages on time on hand each package is about 1¾ cups of rice. To use this in a stirfry rice: You don't have to microwave it (as tha package instructions say) just dump the rice on the griddle or in wok and cook with as you would day old rice. Avoila in less than thirty minutes from velting the meat to finished dish. Nate I agree the cutting of the soy sauce with water is good idea thus allowing those that like more soy sauce they can add it up on serving. I sometimes use oyster and hoisin sauce sometimes as variation to fish sauce. A splash of rice wine vinegar adds a little tanginess to the flavor profile. That is what I like about fried rice make your own as there is not and exact flavor profile and use what you have. No meat make it vegetables and eggs and I agree with Chris add mushroom as makes for a good substitute meat, especially with meat prices rising ever day. You can add some umami powder to increase the meaty flavor. Or even use a yeast extract to increase the flavor profile. I have also added grilled/griddled peaches or pineapple cooked then diced then added to fried rice, it add a touch of sweetness to the savory and salty flavors of stir fry

Thanks for another awesome video! I tried making this and the chicken gave the dish a really bad metallic flavor. Does that mean the baking soda was old/bad? The rice ended up pretty mushy too. Seemed easy enough, but what the heck did I do wrong? Haha!! I'll definitely be trying it again.
@TheGriddleGuys
2 жыл бұрын
Make sure the rice is fridge cold. It's best to make it the day before and let it sit in the fridge overnight. The chicken should not have a metallic taste.... I could not guess why that was but yeah, could be the baking soda. Gary who commented above suggested rinsing the chicken after the baking soda step. perhaps this would help? Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us Powers! Griddle on! -N

Easy way to peel garlic. Separate the cloves in the head. Place them all in a small metal container with a lid. Shake the daylights out of it for 30 seconds or more as needed. Remove the lid and all the cloves will be peeled including those little pain the arse tiny ones.

No need to peel the garlic when using that garlic press. The garlic clove will push through the little holes but the peel will not. Then the peel can be quickly removed from the press using the tip of the knife. Makes life easy.
