Awesome train action Terry. Wow those things can move. Did you see it kicking the dust up as it went over the crossing😃

I sure did! That crossing leads to a large cement quarry and plant.

I didn’t know an F40PH could go that fast. They always looked like a clunky freight engine, whenever I saw one in person. Those trains were cooking!

Ours are F40PH-2 locos and are geared for speed. They don’t have to haul heavy freight so that EMD power goes to the high end!

Nice! Those coaches surpise me with how slim they look. It it was a model, I'd assume they were too small a scale, (like having a OO locomotive with HO coaches).

Actually, when Bombardier made these coaches they were made for the UK and other EU loading gauges in the hopes for sales there too. So really it goes to show how much bigger our loading gauge is when you look at the loco.

Also, when these LRC coaches cane out they did so as a set with locos as well. The locos were the same cross sectional dimensions. The locos are retired.

How likely is it that we see mainline steam Also the drivers sure do know how to blow a horn
@Terrys-Steam-and-Cobi
Ай бұрын
Lol. Very unlikely for mainline steam. By law a train must blow two longs a short and a long when approaching crossings. And the horn must have a minimum decible level.

It always seems a bit odd with a very brutish looking loco dragging what seem like tiny coaches behind. But still great to watch.
