Thanks for showing this in real time. I raise Monarch's and I feel it's important for people to truly see all of what They go through to become a beautiful Butterfly ♥️🦋👍

Esquisite video! Thank you! I had only two ST cats, and I missed this phase for both… Now I’m almost not sleeping trying to get the metamorphosis recorded, just… because is so fascinating… Thank you again!

Wonderful video! I'm worried about the swallowtail chrysalis that is attached to the inside of a large flowerpot outside in my garden, suspended just above the soil, inside a protective butterfly net cage. I'm in Michigan so I'm guessing that she/he will be overwintering at this point (remaining in the chrysalis stage for the winter). The only thing is, once the butterfly emerges, will she/he be able to hold on to/climb the side of the pot in order to dry the wings before flying? I have a stick leaned over the chrysalis, hoping that the butterfly can grab on to that. Do you have any advice about this?

Position the mesh so it is near the chrysalis, and when the butterfly emerges, it will grab on to it, and climb.

Mine is starting to turn now, but it isn’t nearly as fast as yours. I hope everything is OK.
