Thank you for playing “cover me up”. It helps to hear a song I frequently play while considering this model

This model is outrageously good - and not "for the money".....they are just fantastic guitars. I've been playing for 40 years and have had many guitars - I hang out in guitar stores all the time and play everything there is. I picked up one of these today and it smokes the D28's around here. Thanks to the generosity and friendship of a local shop owner I was able to walk out with it. Really stoked. You've really got a lock on the dropped D thing BTW :)

Awesome job. I’ve never cared for dreadnoughts until I discovered Jason Isbell this past summer... now I’m on a quest for a D-28, but WOW this Eastman works man! Maybe just go with this no?

Thanks! They are wonderful guitars and at a very good price point. I like this Eastman better than most D-28s I've played by far.

@@rockbottomgearreviews6222 Know what the make/type/strings are on this? I have just changed from D'Addario 12 bronze to 12 Elixir PB's and the sound changed radically on my rosewood dread, not as good, less punch.

These are John Pearse Phosphor Bronze medium gauge strings. I think Phosphor Bronze strings are slightly more mellow with less sparkle/brightness in the high end.

Hey, thanks for the demo. I just bought a E20D and wondering what string you use?

A reviewer picked the E20D over the tc version. Can you give your opinion of the two please. Sounds awesome. I would be more than happy with what you have there.

What exactly is the TC version? I'm not familiar with that one.

Sounds great, I'm looking at one in sunburst and in the pics it looks like the neck might have a scarf joint that runs down in a v from the volute. Is the neck scarf jointed at the headstock?

Don't understand people who question if they should "go" with a certain brand rather than a domestic. If you have the cash and you must have a name, by all means buy whatever you want. Otherwise, a well-built, quality wood instrument that sounds great is just that. And sorry but if you think spending another $2-4k will make you play or sound better, you ain't really a guitarist.

But if the extra $2-4k will buy a guitar that sounds better than the standard quality instrument then it is just that, a guitar that sounds "better" which is definitely a subjective term. Will that extra cash always mean a better instrument? Of course not. Will it be worth that much extra? Probably not again, but a better sounding instrument can definitely make someone sound better. I'm my opinion, if it's more comfortable in the hands and feels better, then yes it could make you play slightly better. Almost everything in music is based on opinions and everyone definitely has one.
