If it lasts for 5000 cords @ $5000 that’s $1/cord, which is about as good as you can ask for. If it died tmr you are still at $2/cord now. How good is that? Eastonmade 💪💪

A skid loader splitter and ultra be prefect combo. 1/4 the big stuff and then everything can be split. I want a faster splitter but my box store one gets the job done. Keep up the good work.

Sorry about the ring. But. you made lemonade out of lemons. A few weeks ago, some of the viewers were talking about the pricing of wood for this year. For the first time in my life, did I ever say the words sticker shock. I have my retaining wall done. Yesterday I went to purchase 50 plants to go in the block holes at the top of the wall. I was looking at red geraniums. One geranium in a 4-inch pot was 5 dollars. Five times 50 is 250 dollars. I went to three different stores and each store the price was higher. Ended up at a greenhouse where I picked up a flat of red flowers for 22 dollars. A flat has 56. So, charge what ever you want for wood. I normally wait until after Father's Day where the stuff is on clearance. Every store was loaded with inventory. Oh and these were annuals. Nothing was on clearance. Sticker shock.

@InTheWoodyard I was puzzled about the lack of flower power in the community. We are known as The Garden Community. Five dollars for a flower, time to go to the dollar store, which is really 1.25 and get fake flowers.

The Ultra or the WR 27rs would be my choice if I ever upgraded splitters. Both would be a big upgrade but still small enough to move around a store easy. See ya tomorrow Sir Chris👍🏻👍🏻GNI

I would use the ultra as a resplit machine. I would rig up a couple of conveyor systems up to it. An infeed conveyor coming from a sorting machine that drops on a table and an out feed conveyor to the pile. That would be in tandem to my 60c processor. I'd run a 37d with a conveyor for tree service rounds. And then run everything through a cleaner before piling in a well ventilated pile. Yeah, I'm dreaming. The whole system would run off a big electric pump.

I went and subscribed to Genin's channel. I hope that he picked up numerous filming, youtubing and editing lessons from you during his visit. You (Chris) set the production / presentation quality standard so! High It's actually difficult to view other wood yard channels. You are just that good. Out of the three dozen channels There are only three that are very good and three more that a watchable . It's not just the subject, people watch they tune in for the presentation, the information, the visual, the auditory and humor. It's an amalgam of stimuli

It is really nice that you spend the time to promote other channels. Concerning the log-lift bags, my cost is $18.75 per bag after shipping. I charge a $20 deposit. The bags deliver easily. I just push the bag off the truck. The bag will slinky out of the truck. Sometimes, the bag will land on the opening. If so, I can roll around the bag to get the opening accessible. I leave the bags with the customer. I get almost all back when they reorder more firewood. It saves time and my back. I believe the bags pay for themselves just in customer retention. Carpe Diem!

@jakebredthauer5100 the bags are an investment made by your customers. Everyone wants a return on their investment. You returning with more wood profits your customers. Plus, the bag sits with them and serves as an advertisement. The likelihood your customers will use you again instead of your competitors is good.

Hey Chris is there any way you can weld extra wedges on your prosessor just thinking it might help with all the resplits
@jeanvaljohn3921
Жыл бұрын
Splitting and re-splitting (If I understand correctly) Is very dependant on the dimensions of the wood you are trying to reduce in size. If you have three hundred 4x4's to split You will then require a different wedge when you go to split 6" diameter rounds. Then yet another wedge to split 9" x 12" chunks and so on and so forth. I am guessing the cost of making 13 wedges for different Chunks of wood would be prohibitive. And ordering exact dimensional wood would be financially Silly
